pattern on b/w photo with a window
Just as the title implies, this is a pattern on top of a black and white photo with a photo in the pattern so that the face is visible.
Photograph with pattern background
This is a picture of a friend of mine with a pattern that I made via Illustrator edited behind him, compliments of Adobe Photoshop.

second recursion image
Here's a new recursion image. I used a picture of a friend. I used repeating things, selecting stuff a lot, and blending modes.

Recursion version 2
This is a modified recursion image made from a photograph of someone else holding a camera. My design process this time involved plenty of image filters, color tweaking, and contrast adjustment.

I want people to notice how it looks like there is a jumbled mess of words and letters near the surrounding perimeter of the center point.

The images shown below are some of my best examples of the types of designs mentioned in the captions.
Shades of Nature
I hope for it to appear on an advertisement for something nature-related. Maybe on an advertisement for a nature resort.
My design required as analogous color scheme (which I used with "Bird of Paradise" from the "Nature" category in Adobe Illustrator), it required all 8 edges and the center to have an object placed on top of it, and it required the use of the pucker tool (or bloat tool, which is NOT the one I used here) which I used to make the light-green pieces in the center. |
